Funeral services for Herbert Marcel Young, 50, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Monday, June 28, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born July 6, 1959, in Hartsville, TN, to Bonnie Forkum Young and the late Hubert Young. He worked in construction, and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 1 Nephew: Daniel Marcel Young; 1 Niece: Ashley Pippin; his Paternal Grandparents: Benton and Mary Lee Young; and his Maternal Grandparents: Frank and Opal Forkum. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Brandy Bostic of Cookeville, TN; 1 Grandson: James Matthew Bostic; his Mother: Bonnie Forkum Young of Crossville, TN; 1 Brother: Marty (Janice) Young of Crossville, TN; and 1 Sister: Arlene Young of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
