Herbert "Hub" Haney

Funeral services for Mr. Herbert "Hub" Haney 72, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, at his residence in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. He was born April 2, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Frank C. Haney and Francis Leona Haney. On February 28, 1986 he was married to Samantha Haney, who survives. He worked as a tree trimmer and attended the Cummins Mill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters; 1 Granddaughter: Madison Hunter and 2 Great-Grandchildren: Lucy Loftis and Salem Payea. Survivors include His Wife: Samantha Haney of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sons: Earnie (Julia) Haney and Jamie (Tammy) Haney, both of Cookeville, TN; 1 Step-Son: Hershel Hunter of Cookeville, TN; 4 Daughters: Sherry (Andy) Harvey of Gainesboro, TN; Jeanie Dailey of Gainesboro, TN; Margaret (Randy) Curtis of Cookeville, TN; and Linda Smith of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: Marshall "Bud" Haney of Gainesboro, TN; and 3 Sisters: Shirley Hensley, Edna Faye Hammock, and Judy Long, all of Cookeville, TN. 16 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.
