Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Sue Long, 78, of Pleasant Shade, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born August 13, 1939, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Jessie W. Lee and Ida Mae Lee. On December 22, 1956, she was married to the late James K. Long, Sr., who passed away July 8, 2007. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Wartrace Methodist Church and Wartrace Homemaker's Club. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Denise Lynn Long; and 1 Sister: Betty Lou Beck. Survivors include 1 Son: James K. Long, Jr. of Pleasant Shade, TN; 2 Daughters : Brenda Gail (John) Taylor of Springfield, OH, and Cheryl (Lance Lassiter) Long of Pleasant Shade, TN; 2 Grandchildren: John Nathan (Kristi) Taylor of Medway, OH, and Natalie Taylor of Springfield OH; 2 Great Grandchildren: Clara Marie Taylo and John William Taylor; 1 Brother: Charles (Jane) Lee of Detroit, MI; 1 Sister: Shirley Hix of Gainesboro, TN; and her Stepmother: Beadie Lee of Gainesboro, TN.
