Haskell "Hack" Allen

Funeral services for Mr. Haskell P. "Hack" Allen, 82, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M., and on Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 16, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Tom D. Allen and Ora P. Hensley Allen. On June 19, 1957, he was married to the late Jo Mae Allen. He was a barber, and a factory worker at Stillman. He enjoyed operating his barber shop, where folks swapped stories and had fun hearing the news. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Kenneth Lee Allen; 1 Brother: Arbie J. Allen; and 1 Sister: Dimple V. Pippin. Survivors include 1 Son: Tommy Joe Allen of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Judy (Paul) Meadows of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Patricia (Terry) Boone of Cookeville, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Travis Meadows, Shawn Meadows, Matthew Boone, Lance Boone, and Thomas Allen; 1 Great Grandson: Jude Boone; 1 Brother: James Edward (Mary) Allen of Cookeville, TN; 1 Sister: Jewell D. (Johnny) Pippin of Cookeville, TN; and a Special Pet: Little 'Un. Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Hubert Jones will officiate at the services.
