Haskell Barlow

Funeral services for Mr. Haskell Barlow, 98, of the Burristown community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Barlow passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg, TN. He was born December 25, 1910, in Overton County, TN, to the late Dillard and Hattie Loftis Barlow. On April 5, 1935, he was married to the late Mildred Norton Barlow, who passed away June 19, 1998. He was a retired truck driver and carpenter. He was a member of the Burristown Church of Christ in Jackson County. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Herbert Barlow; and 2 Sisters: Nannie Barlow Lawson and Margie Shehane. Survivors include 2 Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Howard (Heelan) Barlow of Nashville, TN, and Randy (Delores) Barlow of Cornersville, TN; Former Daughter-in-Law: Alice Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Sharon Johnston of Kernersville, N.C., Michelle Price of Cookeville, TN, and Thomas "Tom" Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Great- Grandchildren: Juliet Johnston of Kernersville, N.C., and Will Price of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: Sim (Jewell) Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; and Special Friends Who Were Closer Than Family: Richard and Wanda Scantland, their children, and grandchildren, of Gainesboro, TN.
