Harold Wirt Dyer

Memorial services for Mr. Harold Wirt Dyer, 80, of the Pippin community of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Willow Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville, TN. Harold has chosen cremation. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. He passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born January 15, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Paskell Wirt Dyer and Flora Pippin Dyer. On December 1, 1951 he was married to Margie C. Pippin Dyer, who survives. He was retired from Kroger's with 21 years and a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Pippin Church of Christ. Survivors include his Wife: Margie C. Pippin Dyer of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Vickie Marlene and husband, Lance Wells of Cape Coral, FL; and Pamala Marita and husband, Ronald Winningham of Crossville, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Kevin Burgess and wife, Nicole of Wilmore, KY; Ronald Winningham II and wife, Jessica of Fairbanks, AK; and Mandy Kelly and husband, Tom of Camden, AR; 12 Great- Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Ernest Carl Dyer and wife, Mary of Bloomington, Springs, TN; 1 Sister: Louise and husband, Bill Flatt of Cookeville, TN; and 1 Special Niece: Marsha Chaffin Maxwell and her son: Mitchell Maxwell. In respect of Harold's last wishes, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cookeville Cancer Care Fund or the Double Springs Ladies Quilting Fund by contacting the funeral home. Bro.
