Funeral services for Mr. Harley Lawson, 91, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at his residence. He was born February 22, 1923, in Jackson County, TN, to the late William Kay Lawson and Ova G. Scantland Lawson. He was married to the late Modean Bybee Lawson. He worked in highway construction, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Walter Fowler Lawson, Cecil Lawson, and James Millard Lawson; and 2 Sisters: Alene Cravens and Stella Ruth Lawson. Survivors include 1 Son: Terry (Barbara) Lawson of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Tiffany Lawson; Nathan Lawson, and Andrew Webb; and 2 Sisters: Lee Hajdasz of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Virginia Burris of Mt. Juliet, TN. Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. James Bybee will officiate at the services.
