Grover Wesley Meadows

Funeral services for Mr. Grover Wesley Meadows, 93, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery in the Flynn's Lick community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Signature Healthcare Center in Algood, TN. He was born September 10, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Johnnie Wesley Meadows and Lillie Jane Gipson Meadows. On February 18, 1947, he was married to the late Frances Lucille Meadows, who passed away on October 10, 2013. He was a factory worker at TRW in Lebanon, TN and was a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Kenneth Grover Meadows; 1 Brother: Dewey Meadows; and 2 Sisters: Emma Ann Meadows Flatt and Bertha Meadows Haile. Survivors include 2 Grandsons: Kevin Meadows of Gainesboro, TN and Kenneth Grover Meadows, Jr. and his wife, Lyndie of Algood, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Terry Newberry will officiate at the service.
