Greta Sue Flatt

Greta Sue Flatt, 76, of Cookeville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at NHC Health Care in Cookeville, TN. A private funeral service will be held at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 8, 1944, in Orlinda, TN, to the late Burnis Jones and Bessie Jones. On November 3, 1984, she was married to Kenneth R. Flatt, who survives. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. James Grisolano, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She is now in heaven with her family and loved ones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Ted Jones and Freddy (Ruby) Jones; her Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law: Benton and Cleo Flatt; and Brothers-in-Law and Sisters-in-Law: Leamon and Lu Flatt, Don and Carolyn Flatt, Dowell Flatt, and Leonard Fox. Survivors include her Husband of 37 Years: Kenneth R. Flatt of Cookeville, TN; Children: Dwayne (Jen) Whitson of Cookeville, TN, Sherri (Jason) Yealey of Suffolk, VA, Lee M. (Marcie) Flatt of Gainesboro, TN, Marcia (Bobby) Romines of Cookeville, TN, and Casey (Linette) Flatt of Cookeville, TN; Brothers-in-Law and Sisters-in-Law: Rosemary Jones, Bill and Louise Flatt, Jimmy and Linda Anderson, Wanda and Joey Crabtree, Rose Fox, and Della Flatt; 12 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or the Shriners Childrens Hospital by contacting the funeral home.
