Grace Meadows Mahaney

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Meadows Mahaney, 91, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, March 1, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., Sunday from 12 Noon - 8 P.M., and Monday from 9 A. M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born February 5, 1919, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Marsh and Nannie Susan Meadows. On June 28, 1941, she was married to the late Lester B. Mahaney, who passed away February 3, 1999. She was a cafeteria manager at Wilson County High School, and a member of the Pippin Church of Christ in Cookeville, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: James "Butch" Mahaney; 5 Brothers; and 3 Sisters. Survivors include 1 Son: Wayne (Linda) Mahaney of Baxter, TN; 1 Daughter: Wanda Wilkerson of Lebanon, TN; 5 Grandchildren & 5 Great-Grandchildren: Matilda Mahaney of Gainesboro, TN; Michael, Kristy, Owen, and Maddie Mahaney, all of Lafayette, GA; Jack & Tyler Wilkerson of Lebanon, TN; Jeff, Karen, Rosemary, and Kaitlyn Wilkerson, all of Murfreesboro, TN; and Scott & Lindsey Wilkerson of Gainesville, FL; 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Garland (Virginia) Meadows of Lebanon, TN; and 1 Sister: Ellen Guinn of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Randy Bybee will officiate at the services.
