Gordon "Gordie" Gardner

Funeral services for Mr. Gordon A. "Gordie" Gardner, 65, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Flatt - Woolbright Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Gardner passed away on Monday, April 20, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical center in Cookeville, TN. He was born June 30, 1943, in Hanover, NH, to the late Gail and Annie May Mann Gardner. On September 30, 1978, he was married to Jessie Gardner, who survives. He was retired from the U.S. Army and a Member of the American Legion after 38 years of service. He was a Jackson County School Bus Driver and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his Wife: Jessie Gardner of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Gary (Kathie) Gardner of Hartford, VT; 1 Daughter: Rose (Ronnie) Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Clyde (Ina) Gardner of Fairlee, VT; 4 Grandchildren: Dustin Flatt, Kimberly Flatt, Gail Gardner, and Garrison Gardner; and 1 Special Niece: Cindy Wood of Bradford, VT.
