Funeral services for Mrs. Glenda Faye Dawes, 70, of Smithville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, December 8, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Peek Cemetery in the Harmony community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014, at NHC Health Care in Smithville, TN. She was born March 20, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harlin Winters Phann and Julia Edna Hamlet Phann. On March 2, 1962, she was married to the late Lewis Edward Dawes, who passed away December 11, 1993. She was a factory employee, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: James, Grover, Winters, Ernest B., and Charlie Phann. Survivors include 1 Son: Jeffrey Edward Dawes of Beech Grove, TN; and 1 Sister: Verble (Ronnie) Harris of Bloomington Springs, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.
