Gladys Gibbons Dailey

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys C. Gibbons Dailey, 92, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Virgle Gibbons and Anna Smith Gibbons. On November 22, 1945, she was married to the late Clifton "Tip" Dailey. She was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandson: Rocky Hunter; 1 Great Granddaughter: Mackenzie Allen-Farley; 3 Brothers: Luke Gibbons, Eddie Gibbons, and Buddy Gibbons, and 1 Sister: Beatrice Gibbons. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Wanda Lee Dailey Orlando and husband, Mike, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and SanDee Dailey Farley and Millard Padgett of Myrtle Beach, SC; 5 Grandchildren: Paula (Thane) Myers, Kacee Farley (Daniel) Ball, Leigh Taylor Guess, Damien Hunter, and Destiny Hunter; 5 Great Grandchildren: Madison, Raelee, and Bridgett Allen-Farley; William Orrin Thomas; and Natalie Emma Sue Ball; 2 Brothers: Luther "Jamup" Gibbons of Cookeville, TN, and Bruce (Pat) Gibbons of Dayton, OH; 2 Sisters: Irene (Carlos) Mathis and Betty (John) Dunn, all of Dayton, OH; and Special Friends and Relatives: Millard Padgett, Tami Clark and daughter, Alison, Debbie Gibbons, Carol Lawton and Caleb, Bill Dailey, Brenda DeWeese, Jody and Jimbo Dailey, Phyllis and Jeff Allen and family, Ms. Rhoda Fields, Sheila Rose Miller and Mary Vaughn, Tim Mathis and Little Carlos.
