Gertrude Chrisman Gabbard

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Chrisman Gabbard, 86, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, November 15, 2010, at Deaton Funeral Home in Jackson, KY. Burial will follow in the Gabbard Cemetery in Athol, KY. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4P.M. to 9P.M. at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN and on Sunday from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M . at Deaton Funeral Home in Jackson, KY. She passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born February 18, 1924 in Campton, KY, to the late Charlie Chrisman and Laura Spencer Chrisman Profitt. On May 26, 1952 she was married to Paul W. Gabbard who survives. She was a beautician and of the Lutheran faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father: Chester Profitt. Survivors include her husband: Paul W. Gabbard of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Paul H. Gabbard of Gainesboro, TN; and John D. Gabbard and wife Tammy of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Justin P. Gabbard and Katlyn Gabbard; 1 Great-Grandchild: Jackson Paul Gabbard; 2 Brothers: Elbert Chrisman and Fred Vanderpool both of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Sisters: Betty Anderson of South Lyon, MI; Faye Herbert of Walled Lake, MI; Joann Pendergrass of Novi, MI and Nora Buchanan of Middleton, OH; several nieces and nephews also survive.
