Geraldine Lee Rhoten

Geraldine Lee Rhoten was born September 20, 1937 in Clay County, TN and she passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at her daughters residence in Gainesboro at the age of 85.  

Geraldine was the daughter of Thomas and Ila Dillon Murley.  She was the Director of the Fairview Community Center in Gainesboro.

Mrs. Rhoten was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Ezra Lee, and Morgan Rhoten, brothers, Bud Murley and Bob Murley, and sister, Evelyn Murley.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Jeff) Davis of Livingston, TN and Debbie (Bill) Smith of Gainesboro, TN; brothers, Rick (Helen) Murley and Wayne Murley both of IN; Steve Murley and Eddie Murley both of Celina, TN.  sisters, Shirley Wilson of Rickman and  Joann Hawkins of Celina, TN; step children, Wayne Rhoten and Kim Rhoten; grandchildren, Vickie (Steve) Gordan, Brian (Emily) Morgan, Amie (Brad) Halfacre, Holly Smith, Josh (Katie) Hammock, Kayla (Zach) Crowson, and Justin (Jessie) Davis; great grandchildren, Sydney (Tanner) Stacy, Braxton Morgan, Callie Morgan, Ethan Halfacre, Evan Halfacre, Connor Halfacre, Colton Halfacre, Darcy Hammock, Heidi Hammock, Blakeland Gordan, Brookland Gordan, and Riverland Gordan; great great grandchildren, Blakely Stacy, Emmylou Stacy, Harper Stacy and Roczen Stacy.  Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 16, 2022, 4-8 pm and again on Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2022 in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
