George "Shorty" Trisdale

Funeral services for Mr. George "Shorty" Trisdale, 74, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, September 25, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Trisdale passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born October 23, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Ora and Lena Bowman Trisdale. On April 5, 1951, he was married to Frances Trisdale, who survives. He was a truck driver, and a member of the Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Linda Kirkpatrick; 1 Grandson: Kevin Dale Kirkpatrick; 5 Brothers; and 3 Sisters. Survivors include his Wife: Frances Trisdale of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Rick Trisdale of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Juanita Gail Pope of Ringgold, GA; 2 Grandchildren: Darrel Trisdale of Gainesboro, TN, and Jason Dale Trisdale of Donelson, TN; 3 Brothers: Ogle Trisdale and Charles Trisdale, both of Gainesboro, TN, and David Trisdale of Dexter, MI; and 4 Sisters: Irene Bowman, Mary Martin, Stella Martin, and Wanda Hopkins, all of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Dan Huffines will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Trisdale family by contacting the funeral home.
