Funeral services for Mr. George R. Parker, 74, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN. He was born August 15, 1943, in Detroit, MI, to the late Louis F. Parker and Ethel Anderson Parker. He was a farmer and welder, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Louis Ward Parker; 2 Nephews: Joseph Parker and Jim Parker; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Spencer Eakin. Survivors include 3 Sons: Tim Parker of Gainesboro, TN, David Parker of La Vergne, TN, and Wayne Bilbrey of Palmyra, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Genevieve Bilbrey LaBean of Ashland City, TN; 1 Sister: Edith Carol Parker Eakin of Nashville, TN; 2 Nephews: Howard Parker and Bruce Eakin; and 3 Nieces: Teresa Johnson, Annette Eakin, and Jennifer Willmore.
