George Dillard Stafford

Funeral services for Mr. George Dillard Stafford, 75, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M., Thursday from 10 A.M. - 9 P.M., and on Friday from 9 A. M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Sam Stafford and Hallie Biggs Stafford. On April 30, 1956, he was married to Anna Bell Stafford, who survives. He was a retired mechanic and farmer, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Sam Dow Stafford, Jr.; 2 Sisters: Jo Helen Hammock and May Ellen Mayberry; and his Father and Mother-in-Law: Artis and Stella Johnson. Survivors include his Wife: Anna Bell Stafford of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Son: Jeffery (Joellen) Stafford of Cookeville, TN; 3 Daughters: Diana Haney of Bloomington Springs, TN, Linda (Steve) Hensley of Gainesboro, TN, and Donna (Bobby) Hammock of Bloomington Springs, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Brad (Karla) Hensley, Barry (Beth) Hammock, Kristina Hammock, Cody Hammock, Melissa (Joseph) Hogue, Kayla Stafford, and Brittany Wood; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Grant Hensley and Brycen Hammock; 3 Brothers: Jack Stafford and Paul Stafford, both of Gainesboro, TN, and Daniel Stafford of Baxter, TN; 4 Sisters: Bonnie Phann of Baxter, TN, Frances Keith of Nashville, TN, Janie Uhles of Gainesboro, TN, and Sarah Harp of Cookeville, TN; and his Beloved Pet: Molly.
