Genie Mae Scott

Genie Mae Hammock Scott was born March 23, 1948 in Jackson County, TN and she passed way on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at her residence at the age of 73. She was the daughter of Elmer Esters Hammock and Stella Mae Stafford Rhoten. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was married to Charles Ward Scott who passed away on December 1, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Ronnie Scott, daughter, Angelia Scott, brothers, Bennie Clay Hammock, Michael Hammock, Donnie Hammock, and Jackie Hammock; and sister, Debbie Phann. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Rivera of Ontario, CA, and Davenna J. Weathers of Trona, CA; daughter-in-law, Amanda Scott of Gainesboro, brother, Jimmy Hammock of Chattanooga, TN; and sister, Kathy Phann of Gainesboro. Many grandchildren, other relatives and many friends also survive. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Pharris Cemetery. Bro. Jordan Bryant will officiate the service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 931-268-1550.
