Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Braswell, 94, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, August 24, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P.M. to 7 P.M., and on Monday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at her residence. She was born July 17, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late David Hall and Nettie Hall. On May 29, 1954, she was married to the late Jesse Felton Braswell. She was a secretary, and a member of the 11th St. Church of Christ in Nashville, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: W.C. Hall; 1 Sister-in-Law: Doris Hall; 1 Sister and Brother-in-Law: Josie and Herman Smith; and 3 Nephews: David Hall, Joe Hall, and Jimmy Smith. Survivors include 2 Great Nephews: Fred Smith and William Pippin; 4 Great Nieces: Donna Elrod, Debra Petty, Kaye Smith, and April Schroeder; and 3 Special Joys of her Life: Clay Burris, Chloe Schroeder, and Jocelyn Pippin. Other family members and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
