Gene Kennedy

Gene Kennedy, 75, of the Whites Bend community of Jackson County, TN, passed away on March 10, 2021, at his residence. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time. He was born May 16, 1945, in Pikeville, KY, to the late Monte Kennedy and Victoria Gilman Kennedy. On March 18, 2000, he was married to Georgia Kennedy, who survives. He worked in a paper mill, and was a member of the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Elizabeth Reedy; Brothers: Lawton Kennedy, Harold Kennedy, George Kennedy, Floyd Kennedy, and Leslie Kennedy; and Sisters: Lorainne Johnson and Joyce Bentley. Survivors include his Wife: Georgia Kennedy of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sons: Michael (Tammy) Kennedy and Dewayne (Leslie) Kennedy, all of Dayton, OH, and Joseph Reedy of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Terri (Randy) Milby of West Union, OH; 3 Brothers: William (Priscilla) Kennedy and Byrd (Barb) Kennedy, all of Dayton, OH, and Jonah (Rosa) Kennedy of Westport News, VA; 3 Sisters: Carolene Morningstar of Eaton, OH, Alethagale Kennedy of Franklin, OH, and Evelyn Kennedy of Chatsworth, GA; 14 Grandchildren; and 32 Great Grandchildren. Multiple nieces and nephews along with many friends also survive. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by contacting the funeral home.
