Funeral services for Mr. Gary Lee Smith, 65, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Gary had chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born June 8, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Robert "Bob" Smith and Edith Crowder Smith. On June 1, 2003, he was married to Mary "Nita" Jones Smith, who survives. He was an automotive machinist, and a member of the Fairview Free Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his First Wife: Judy Carwile Smith; and 2 Brothers: Steve Smith and Mike Smith. Survivors include his Wife: Mary "Nita" Jones Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Johnny Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Jill Buck of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Step-Children: David (Donna) Jones and Tina Scott, all of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Cody, Katie, and Kyle Buck, and Jessica Smith; 4 Step-Grandchildren: Cody Jones, Adam Jones, Summer Scott, and Joseph Allison; and 1 Sister: Paulette Radtke of Gainesboro, TN.
