Funeral services for Mrs. Garlene Hawkins Gentry, 65, of Granville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Double Springs Church of Christ in Putnam County, TN. Burial will follow in the Granville Cemetery in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Saturday at the church from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her residence in Granville, TN. She was born February 16, 1952, in Gainesboro, TN, to Manda Mathis and the late Garlin Mathis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by Husbands: Billy Hawkins and Philip Gentry, Her Father: Garlin Mathis; and 1 Brother-in-law: Jerry Carter. Survivors include 1 Son: Kevin =Hawkins of Baxter, TN; 1 Step-Daughter: Melissa Gentry Walker of Hilham, TN; Mother: Manda Mathis of Baxter, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Morgan Hawkins, Brooke Walker, Madison Hawkins, and Paige Walker; 1 Expected Great Grandchild: Sawyer Lamb; 2 Sisters: Pam Carter of Baxter, TN, and Annettea (Joe) Neal of Granville, TN; 1 Brother: Rodney (Donna) Mathis of Bloomington Springs, TN; and 1 Special Pet: Taco. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Mike Webb and Bro. Eric Collins will officiate at the services.
