Fred Shouse

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Shouse, 83, of the Flynn's Lick community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from Noon until time of services. Mr. Shouse passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at University Medical Center in Lebanon, TN. He was born November 13, 1924, in Jackson, KY, to the late Bill and Lucille Combs Shouse. On August 12, 1963, he was married to the late Marie Johnson Shouse, who passed away January 4, 1996. He was a shipping foreman and factory worker, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and 2 Sisters. Survivors include 6 Daughters: Brenda (Gary) Steinbrugge of Ohio, Debbie (Larry) Baker of Ohio, Theresa (George) Elsenbach of Hickman, TN, Betsy Shouse of Hickman, TN, and Donna Cross and Joyce Shouse, both of California; 10 Grandchildren: David Steinbrugge II, Benjamin Elsenbach, Marco (Elizabeth) Elsenbach, Amanda (James) Stenski, Daniel Elsenbach, Felicia (Keith) Shouse, Rochelle Elsenbach, Cheyenne Shouse, Jo Anna Shouse, and Gregory Shouse; 1 Step-Grandson: Joey Baker; 2 Brothers: Estill Caudill of Ohio, and Bernice Shouse of Ohio; and 2 Great- Grandchildren: September Stanley and Nicholas Elsenbach.
