Fred J. Pharris

Funeral services for Mr. Fred J. Pharris, 77, of Smyrna, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Stafford Cemetery in the Columbus Hill community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services. Mr. Pharris passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born September 9, 1930, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Sam and Lona Belle Pharris. He was a construction worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Willis Lee Pharris, Joe Reeves Pharris, and Clarence Pharris. Survivors include 1 Son: Keith Maupin of Murfreesboro, TN; 3 Brothers: Charles E. Pharris of Smyrna, TN, Doyle Pharris of Atmore, AL, and Bill Pharris of Atmore, AL; and 3 Sisters: June West, Linda Pharris, and Betty Carver, all of Cookeville, TN. Bro.
