Fred Bowman

Graveside services for Mr. Fred Bowman, 87, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home on Monday from 5 - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of services. Mr. Bowman passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Mabry Health Care and Rehab Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born December 12, 1919, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Hick and Betty McCormick Bowman. He was married to the late Reba York Bowman, who passed away May 9, 2000. He was a merchant, former Register of Deeds, and Administrator of Elections in Jackson County. Mr. Bowman was a member of the Gibson Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Danny Wayne Bowman; 2 Brothers: Clay Bowman and Ralph Bowman; and 2 Sisters: Mamie Ellis and Johnnie Robertson. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Barbara West and husband, Larry, of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Chris West, Shawn West, Daniel Bowman, and Rebecka Bowman; 3 Great - Grandchildren: Jamie, Bailey, and Lainey West; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Alyce Bowman of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Mildred Moss of Crossville, TN.
