Fay Stafford

Funeral services for Mr. Fay Stafford, 81, of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, May 21, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery in Whitleyville, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 - 9 P.M., Sunday from noon - 9 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Stafford passed away on Friday, May 18, 2007, at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, TN. He was born December 15, 1925 , in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Jim and Addie Stafford. He was married to the late Lorene Stafford, who passed away July 12, 1985. He was a retired logger and a member of the Beech Grove Church of Christ. Mr. Stafford served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Douglas Fay Stafford; 1 Grandson: Matthew Stafford; 3 Brothers: Jordan, Lex, and John Henry Stafford; & 5 Sisters: Ethel Stafford, Polly Stafford, Annie Stewart, Mamie Jones, and Vallie Cunningham. Survivors include 1 Son: Timmy Stafford of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 2 Daughters: Margie Jenkins and Vanessa Stafford, both of Whitleyville, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Kenneth (Varonda) Jenkins of Lafayette, TN, Michael (Kellie) Jenkins of Pleasant Shade, TN, T.J. Stafford of Pleasant Shade, TN, Lisa Fogle of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Turra Phillips of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Chelsea Stafford and Sierra Stafford, both of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 1 Sister: Lucy Mason of Ohio; 14 Great- Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
