Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Johnson, 75, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, March 2, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Johnson passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at her son's residence. She was born May 19, 1931, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Millard and Loretta Goolsby. She was a homemaker, and was affiliated with the Jehovah's Witnesses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Terry James; 1 Grandson: Darrell Blair; 5 Brothers: Roy Goolsby, Edgar Goolsby, Sid Goolsby, and 2 infants; and 2 Sisters: Lucille Warden and Stella Warden. Survivors include 3 Sons: James Earl (Teresa) Johnson, Sr. of Cookeville, TN, Randy (Janice) Johnson of Sparta, TN, and Larry (Tracey) Johnson of Livingston, TN; 2 Daughters: Pearl (Herman) Hooten and Judy Blair, both of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters: Opal Buck of Gainesboro, TN, and Olene Carmack of Lebanon, TN; 19 Grandchildren; and 16 Great - Grandchildren.
