Evelyn Anderson Adkins

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Anderson Adkins, 79, of Springfield, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, July 14, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Flatt - Woolbright Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mrs. Adkins passed away on Monday, July 11, 2005, at the Christian Care Center of Springfield, Tennessee. She was born January 20, 1926, in Jackson County to the late Frank Anderson and Addie Susan Johnson Robinson. She was married to the late John Clyde Adkins, who passed away on June 25, 1985. Mrs. Adkins was a housewife, and a member of the Berry's Chapel Church of Christ. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Bobby Joe Robinson and Henry Paul Robinson. Survivors include 2 Sons: John Clyde Adkins, Jr. of San Francisco, CA, and Michael David Adkins of Franklin, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Toni Michelle Adkins; 4 Brothers: Avalon Anderson, Robert Anderson, & Frank Anderson, all of Michigan, and Harold Robinson of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Dorothy Hammock of Bloomington Springs, TN.
