Eva Nell Fox

Eva Nell Fox was born September 15, 1927, in Gainesboro, TN and she passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 95.

She was the daughter of the late Marion Smith and Sally Casteel Smith. She was a production worker, and a resident of the Fairview community of Jackson County, TN. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and the Fairview Community Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Alson Fox; 4 Sisters: Unice Hall, Mae Pharris, Vera Brown, and Jo Poston; and 1 Half Sister.

Survivors include 2 Sons: Boyd Lawson of the Fairview community, and Bill Sullivan of the Stone community; Daughter: Carolyn (Will) Rudd of Cookeville, TN; Brother: Jack Smith of the Fairview community; 3 Half Sisters; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 1:30 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Randy Heady officiating. Burial will follow in the Peek Cemetery in the Harmony community. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 P.M. – 6 P.M., and Sunday from 12:30 P.M. until time of services.
