Eva Allen Newberry

Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Lee Allen Newberry, 74, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, April 10, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 - 9 P.M., Sunday from 1 - 9 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mrs. Newberry passed away on Friday, April 7, 2006, at her residence. She was born November 19, 1931, in Jackson County to the late Andrew "Buck" Allen and Carrie Hudson Allen. On December 10, 1955, she was married to Corben Newberry, who survives. Mrs. Newberry was a factory worker. She was a member of the Gipson Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandchild: Curtiss "Dippy" Mayberry; 3 Sisters: Bonnie Jean Allen, Della B. Nemore, and Anna Belle Allen; and 1 Brother: Joseph Lee Allen. Survivors include her husband: Corben Newberry of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters & Sons-in-law: Linda & Robbie Maynard, Wanda & Richard Scantland, and Geneva & Tim Jackson, all of Gainesboro, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Tommy Scantland, Sherry Phann, Paul Mayberry, Amanda Harris, and Steven, Joseph, Brandon, & Dakota Jackson; and 6 Great - Grandchildren: Brooklyn Scantland, Kailyn Phann, Clayton Mayberry, Breckin Scantland, and Rachel & Rebecca Harris.
