Funeral services for Mr. Eugene Stafford, 80, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1932, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Henderson Stafford and Lucindy Haney Stafford. On June 16, 1951, he was married to Margaret E. Stafford, who survives. He was a farmer, and a member of the Free State Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Danny L. Stafford; 4 Brothers: Clifford, Fred, James H., and Roger Stafford; and 4 Sisters: Nannie Bell Mayberry, Mattie May Stafford, Onia Elizabeth Hix, and Brinie Jewel Hammock. Survivors include his Wife: Margaret E. Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Bobby Gene Stafford and wife, Kim, of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Brenda Faye Peek of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Toni (Tony) Scantland, Amy Avent, Heather (Jeremiah) Plemmons, Daniel Stafford and friend, Ashley Tippit, Matt Stafford, and Andy Stafford; 1 Brother: Ray (Bunie) Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; and 8 Great Grandchildren: Leah (Jeff) Harrison, Nicolas Scantland, Hillary Avent, Casey Avent, Taylor Plemmons, Brendon Plemmons, Myka Stafford, and Adreana Stafford.
