Memorial services for Eugene Scott Stephenson, 56, of Cookeville, Tennessee, and formerly of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 P.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014, at his residence. He was born October 5, 1958, in Dayton, OH, to Lue Stephenson and the late Stan Stephenson. He was a pet groomer, and avid animal lover. He cared for, loved, and adopted and owned many different pets. He took care of many animals for his many friends over the years. His two legged and four legged friends will all miss him very much. He was of the Baptist faith, and attended New Hope Baptist Church and Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents: Berl and Penny Wilhite and Manie Tinch; his Paternal Grandparents: Orvil and Cora Stephenson; 1 Niece: Chrystal Jones; 1 Nephew: Shawn Jones; 1 Uncle: Terry Tinch; and 2 Cousins: Harold Ray King Allison and Doug Garrison. Survivors include his Mother: Lue Stephenson of Cookeville, TN; Nephew: Zachary Cook of Wilmington, OH; Great Nephews: Aaron Jones and Josh Jones, both of Wilmington, OH; Cousins: Billy and Kathy Maberry, Butch Maberry, Mason Maberry, Dana and Craig Fouts, Jordan Fouts, Jacob Fouts, Jesse Fouts, Charles and April Tinch, Eli Tinch, Isaac Tinch, and Emma Tinch, Molly and Mick Hofacker, Alex Hofacker, Mattie Hofacker, Casey Hofacker, Kali and Kelsey Hofacker of Dayton, OH, Greg Garrison of Cookeville, TN, Diane Tinch, Ronnie Tinch, Chris Tinch, and Shane Tinch; Uncles and Aunts: Ann and Warren Renfroe, Marshall and Mary Tinch, Dan and Anita Tinch, and Pat and Bill Maberry; and 2 Sisters: Valerie Rose and Renita Cook, both of Wilmington, OH. Bro. Tom Lyles, Pat Maberry, and Dana Fouts will officiate at the services.
