Graveside services for Mrs. Estelle Swan Spivey, 81, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time to leave for the service. She passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born December 29, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie and Maude Moss Swan. On November 27, 1948, she was married to the late Earl L. Spivey, who passed away May 23, 1990. She was a retired Clerk and Master of Jackson County, an office she held for 25 years. She was a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ, Silver Thread Quilters, and Ladies Bible Class. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Diane Gipson Breidert; 2 Brothers: Hugh Swan and Charles Swan; and 1 Sister: Grace Smith. Survivors include 1 Son: Jerry (Sue Ellen) Spivey of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Kathy (Larry) Dudney of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Clint Spivey, Annasue Spivey, Travis (Amy) Dudney, Josh (Tiffany) Gipson, Julianne (Shawn) Moffitt, Sarah Gipson, and Katie Breidert; 6 Great- Grandchildren: Will Dudney, Anna Kate Dudney, Aaron Moffitt, Sydney Diane Moffitt, Allie Gipson, and Gracie Gipson; and 4 Sisters: Ruth Yankee of Nashville, TN, Mary Curfman of Nashville, TN, Ann Davidson Mantus of Nashville, TN, and Ina Neal of Lebanon, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Duane Gossett and Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, or the donor's favorite charity by contacting the funeral home.
