Estelene Netherton

Estelene Barnes Netherton was born July 1, 1939 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 84.

Estelene was the daughter of Sherman Barnes and Rosie Loftis Barnes.  She worked in shirt factories in Gainesboro before her retirement.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by her parents,  husband, Andrew "Teet" Netherton died Jan. 11, 2009; brother, Elmer Barnes; sisters, Anna Dale Carmack and Mary Edith Jones.

Survivors include her son, Andy Netherton of Gainesboro; daughter Shannon (Joe) Trobaugh of Baxter and  step grandson, Tory Trobaugh; step great grandson, Henry Trobaugh.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, 4-8 pm and again on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 10 am to 1 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Pharris Cemetery.
