Funeral services for Mrs. Emogene Way Jakob, 90, of Nashville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Union Hill - Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Hwy. in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born March 21, 1929, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Hiram Way and Ollie Fox Way. On June 29, 1959, she was married to the late Howard Jakob. She was a public school teacher, working for the Jackson and Davidson County School Systems. She was a member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son in Law: Luther Bryant Henderson; 6 Brothers: Leo, Hubert, Jessie, Fred, Ermon, and Joe Way; and 4 Sisters: Ruby Way, Cleo Flatt, Lillie Brown, and Helen Baither. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Jeanette Henderson of Nashville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Chris (Kierston) Henderson of Lebanon, TN, Jonathan Henderson of Franklin, TN, David Henderson of Nashville, TN, and Ashleigh Henderson of North Carolina; and 8 Great Grandchildren: Ayden, Cohen, Bailey, Noah, Emery, Sawyer, Dakota, and Everet Henderson.
