Emily Jane Pryor

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Jane Pryor, 92, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M. and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Pryor passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2007, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood, TN. She was born March 5, 1915, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Sam J. and Avo Smith Hawkins. On September 24, 1933, she was married to the late Willie C. Pryor, who passed away September 12, 1983. She was a homemaker, and a member of the New Hope Community Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Thurstle Pryor; and 4 Brothers. Survivors include 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Thomas T. and Mary R. Pryor of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Ozetta Hogg of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Pamela S. Simmons, Diane Cook, Stanley Lee, Tim Lee, Raymond Pryor, Randy Pryor, and Tonya Beeman; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 9 Great- Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Sisters: Loretta Paquette of Franklin, TN, and Heelen Barlow of Donelson, TN. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Jeff Short will officiate at the services.
