Emagene Goolsby

Graveside services for Mrs. Emagene Goolsby, 86, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, June 13, 2016, at the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at her residence in Gainesboro, TN. She was born September 28, 1929, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Raymond Way and Addie Bowman Way. In January of 1961, she was married to the late Marlin Goolsby. She was a restaurant owner and homemaker, and a member of the Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Hollis Way and Howard Way; 1 Granddaughter: Anna Lee Forkum; 2 Sons-in-law: David Forkum and Michael Ragland; 3 Sisters-in-law: Joyce Way, Hilda Way, and Ann "Tootsie" Goolsby; and 2 Brothers-in-law: Kenneth Goolsby and Dick Frizzell. Survivors include 1 Son: Donnie (Shirley) Harper of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Lori Forkum and special friend, Kevin Boles, of Gainesboro, TN, and Lisa Ragland and special friend, Garry Gore, of Gainesboro, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Sara Forkum, Lee Forkum, Kayla Bostic, Dusty Ragland, Lacy Ragland, Wayne Harper, Jason Harper, and Sherry Apple; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Paul (Beverly) Way of Mt. Juliet, TN; 2 Sisters: Vida Frizzell of Gainesboro, TN, and Ruth (Troy) Jones of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother-in-law: Clifton Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters-in-law: Vickey Apple of Cookeville, TN, and Faye Goolsby of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Sam Mainord will officiate at the services.
