Funeral services for Mrs. Elise Madewell, 81, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Morgan Pippin Cemetery in Putnam County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born April 21, 1932, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dan Martin and Louisa Martin. She was married to Floyd Madewell. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Floyd Junior Madewell; 3 Sisters: Nina Whitson, Lena Lane, and Jewell Lane; and 1 Brother: Charlie Martin. Survivors include her Husband: Floyd Madewell of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Lisa Madewell of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Brother: Frank Martin of East Detroit, MI. Rev. Kelly Stockton will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with expenses by contacting the funeral home.
