E.L. "Lloyd" Halfacre

Funeral services for Mr. E.L. "Lloyd" Halfacre, 86, of Granville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, March 12, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 P.M. - 8 P. M., and on Monday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at his residence. He was born November 13, 1925, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Benton M. Halfacre and Dora Mae Carter Halfacre. On December 3, 1948, he was married to Mary Sue Elrod Halfacre, who survives. He was a school teacher, and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he was a rural letter carrier. He was associated with the Church of Christ, and was a graduate of Tennessee Tech. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Everette "Ebb" Halfacre and Lawrence Halfacre; and 1 Sister: Pauline Brown. Survivors include his Wife: Mary Sue Elrod Halfacre of Granville, TN; 1 Son: Robert Lloyd (Kathy) Halfacre of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Mary Ann Halfacre of Richmond, VA; 2 Grandchildren: Brad (Amie) Halfacre of Cookeville, TN, and Allison (Tyler) Stafford of Cookeville, TN; 4 Great - Grandchildren: Ethan, Evan, Colton, and Connor Halfacre; and 2 Sisters: Gerry Anderson of Granville, TN, and Faye (Charlie) Moore of Lexington, KY.
