Edward "Jack" Grigg

Funeral services for Mr. Edward Jackson "Jack" Grigg, 83, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens in Defeated, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 P.M. to 9 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born July 17, 1932, in Smith County, TN, to the late Virgil Grigg and Maggie Holliman Grigg. He was married to the late Thelma Frances Sisco Grigg. He was retired from the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers; 5 Sisters; and 1 Great Grandchild: George Robert Harvell V. Survivors include 1 Son: Gary Edward (Victoria) Grigg of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Jackie (Eddie) Lane of Gainesboro, TN, and Kim (Leslie) Bush of Gordonsville, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Emily (Robert) Harvell, Josh Lane and Torri Carver, Chelsea (Jake) O'Neal, Ross Grigg and Ashley Paul, Jackson Bush, and April Grigg; and 4 Great Grandchildren: Scarlett O'Neal, Sadie Jo O'Neal, Christian Branch Harvell, and Cameron Grigg. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Dan Huffines will officiate at the services.
