Edward Earl Carter

Edward Earl Carter was born December 27, 1931, in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at his residence in Baxter, TN at the age of 92.

Edward was the son of Scott Carter and Birchie Mae Roberts. He was a truck driver.  He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War in 1952.  

He was preceded in death by parents, wife: Carol Powell Carter who passed away on 12/10/2020; and sister: Nell Jarrell.

Survived by his sister: Frances Kemp of Baxter, TN; niece: Kathy (Glen) Norton; nephew: Robert (Beverly) Morgan; as well as a host of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Smith County Memorial Gardens in Carthage, TN, with Bro. Garry Norton officiating. 

Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund or the Carter Wheeler Cemetery Fund by contacting the funeral home.
