Edna Ruth Jones

Edna Ruth Jones was born July 16, 1939, in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 83.

She was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Stafford and Lella Frances Scott Stafford. She was married to the late Bobby Jones, who passed away December 23, 1996. She was the former owner of Jones Variety Store in Gainesboro, and a resident of the Flynns Lick community.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Brothers: Harlan and Bobby Joe Stafford; and Sisters: Polly Susan Stafford Scott and Marian Frances Jones.

Survivors include her Son: Scotty Jones of Gainesboro, TN; Brother: James Bruce Stafford of Louisville, KY; and Grandchildren: Isabella Jones and Gabby Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services.
