Edna Rush Heady

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Virginia Rush Heady, 80, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born May 16, 1932, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Henry Thomas Rush and Edna Allen Rush. On May 10, 1946, she was married to the late John Rose Heady, who passed away June 14, 1995. She was a housewife, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Johnny Frank Heady and Larry Heady; 1 Daughter: Tennie Carolyn Heady; 1 Nephew: Christopher Thomas Heady; 3 Brothers: Junior Rush, Logan Rush, and Zury Charlie Rush; and 1 Sister: Hazel Thomas. Survivors include 1 Grandchild: Kristin Heady of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Great Granddaughter: Bailey Paige Stafford. Other nieces and nephews also survive. Bro. John Dennis will officiate at the services.
