Edith "Tootsie" Ragland

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith C. "Tootsie" Ragland, 72, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery in the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born July 16, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Ernest Bee Richardson and Willie Jo Stafford Richardson. On July 21, 1956, she was married to the late Logan Bryan Ragland, who passed away on July 24, 1990. She was a certified nursing assistant and homemaker, and a member of the Gibson Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include 1 Son: James Ragland; 1 Daughter: Sonya Haney of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Jennifer Haney, Logan Ragland, Robert Ragland, and Justin Ragland; and 1 Sister: Rosie Lawson of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Richmond Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
