Edd Meade

Funeral services for Mr. Edd Meade, 87, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Meade - Harris Cemetery in the Old Antioch community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 12 noon until time of services. Mr. Meade passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born March 17, 1920, in Letcher County, KY, to the late Newberry Meade and Dixie Hall Meade. He worked for Tecumseh Products making freezer components, and was a member of the Old Antioch Community Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Lorne, Johnny, Willie, and Arthur Meade; and 1 Sister: Vonzelle Meade. Survivors include 2 Sons: Roy Edward Meade of Hopkinsville, KY, and Ray Meade; 1 Daughter: Darlene Meade; 3 Grandchildren; and 3 Great - Grandchildren. Rev.
