Ed Mitchell Nemore, Sr.

Ed Mitchell Nemore, Sr. was born August 20, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, and he passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 94.

He was the son of the late Willie Nemore and Mary Cathryn Scott Nemore. He was married to the late Virginia Estelene Nemore, who passed away February 3, 2021. He was a retired steel plant production manager, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a resident of Baxter, TN, and a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Ed Mitchell Nemore, Jr.; his brothers: Thomas, Frank, Walter, Jessie and Joe Oliver Nemore; and Sisters: Wilhelmina Castle and Elizabeth Young.

Survivors include his Daughter: Diane (Aldon C.) Allen of Baxter, TN; Grandchildren: Aldon Allen II, Brandon M. Allen, and Corey M. Nemore; and Great Grandchild: Conner L. Brown.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services.
