Earlene Hamlet

Funeral services for Mrs. Earlene Hamlet, 77, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 12 noon on Monday, May 7, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 9 P. M., Sunday from 1 - 9 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Hamlet passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007, at her residence. She was born April 3, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John Thomas Davidson and Olda Bennett Davidson. On August 6, 1946, she was married to the late Hubert Eddmon Hamlet, who passed away April 29, 1985. She was the fomer owner of Gainesboro Florist and a homemaker. She was a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter: Tina Earlene Thacker; 2 Brothers: Bernice and John Davidson; and 1 Son-in-Law: Kenny Nash. Survivors include 1 Son: Joe Eddmon (Lola) Hamlet of Cookeville, TN; 4 Daughters and 3 Sons-in-Law: Judy Cook of Utica, MI, Janice (Lynn) Ashburn of Gainesboro, TN, Frances (Bill) Kemp of Cookeville, TN, and Mary Jo (Ross) Tollison of Baxter, TN; 3 Sisters: Frances Lucille (Grover) Meadows of Gainesboro, TN, Betty Craigmile and Barbara Jo (Ralph) Sanders, all of Lebanon, TN; 15 Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
