Earl Raymon Locke

Funeral services for Mr. Earl Raymon Locke, 95, of Donelson, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Hendersonville Medical Center. He was born November 1, 1917, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harshell Locke and Vela Pippin Locke. On May 16, 1949, he was married to the late Daffo Bybee Locke. He worked in research development at U.S. Rubber Co. in Michigan, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Kenneth Locke and Donal Locke. Survivors include 2 Brothers: Austin Locke of Old Hickory, TN, and Gilbert Locke of Michigan; and 4 Sisters: Mildred Kirby of Cookeville, TN, Sallie Daniels of California, Rosamond Locke of Old Hickory, TN, and Johnnie Pruett of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial donations may be made to the Jackson County Veterans Memorial by contacting the funeral home.
