Earl Langford

Funeral services for Mr. Earl Langford, 86, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Langford Family Cemetery in Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Saturday from 9 A.M until time of services. Mr. Langford passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at his residence. He was born February 23, 1925, in Clay County, TN, to the late Wilburn and Pearl Langford. On November 26, 1952, he was married to the late Ester Mae Langford, who passed away March 28, 2009. He was retired after working at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Fay Langford; and 2 Sisters: Selma Roberts and Barlow Langford. Survivors include 2 Sons: Lester (Debbie) Langford of Cookeville, TN, and Dwight (Mary) Langford of the Dodson Branch Community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Daughter: Barbara Cantrell of Cookeville, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Jason, Christopher, Daniel and Kayla; and 4 Sisters: Mary Teeples, Olyne Borden, Dorothy Langford, and Elise Langford.
